“these I will bring to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on my altar for my house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
Isaiah 56:7

Why create a prayer room expression? Jesus is the one on the throne. He is worthy of praise day and night. In Revelation 4 we get a beautiful picture and sound bite of the throne room. The four living creatures cry out day and night, “Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.” And the elders fall down before the Worthy One declaring, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.” More than any other “why”, this is is our why. He is worthy of all we could bring and of all we have to offer. When we behold Him as He is, and not just as we perceive Him, our hearts can’t help but respond in adoration and worship.

Our posture in prayer is never earth to heaven or circumstance to God. We declare from our place of authority. We are seated in heavenly places with Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:6) We contend and pray from this place. We declare the promises and the realities of God into our circumstance to see reformation.

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

What does it look like to see our land healed? It’s a lot to unpack in just a paragraph. But it truly begins in the place of prayer. The beauty is that we humble ourselves before the Lord and acknowledge our need of Him. We can accomplish no such thing and see lasting fruit, unless He moves. Prayer is as simple as asking, declaring, and positioning our hearts for a move of God.

What is the prayer expression? It’s first about creating and setting aside a time and place to meet with Him. We are excited to create an opportunity for a corporate expression of prayer. We will gather as a body to worship Him, to seek His face, and to contend for transformation and revival in our region and all across the globe. We believe our effectiveness in the region is directly tied to our effectiveness in prayer. That goes for us as individuals and also for us as a community. We believe the Lord wants to release a new fire and fervency for the place of prayer in our community. Intercession is a fire that exposes the dross in our faith. He wants to refine us and renew our faith. Come join us as we seek His face, as we become more like Him, and declare Heavenly realities over our region.
Branch Community was birthed in the place of prayer. It all started by people simply gathering to pray. We were expectant, unified and full of hope in intercession and we saw the Lord move in the region and in our lives like we never had before. What we know as “Branch Community” is a direct fruit of what can happen in the place of prayer. The Lord loves to bring dreams and hopes alive in these times. We have morphed greatly in the last 4 years, but now more than ever we feel the urgency and the call of prayer for Branch Community. We were birthed in the place of prayer and we intend to keep our DNA.
