Lifestyle Rhythms

Lifestyle Rhythms
We believe that life happens in the context of rhythms that were established by God at creation. Just like spring, summer, fall, and winter have followed each other since the beginning of time and just as nature thrives in the rhythms ordained for it by its Creator, so human nature was created to function and thrive within the rhythms that our Father has set in motion for us.
We believe that discipleship and the pursuit of God are meant to be experienced as a process where we continually move towards the Father and embrace each season of life by finding God in the midst of it and aligning with his purpose. The disciplines and values of the Kingdom can become a rhythm in which to continually grow and prosper in our walk with the Lord.

1. Abiding in the Vine

Creating space in our daily life to invest in our relationship with the Father and allowing Him to guide us. If we are connected to the source of life it allows us to live it abundantly. John 15: 1-17

2. Hosting the Presence

Wherever we go in day to day life. Remembering He wants to do life with us. The destination is secure so it is about the journey. Pausing to allow Him to respond through us rather than react from our desires. 1 John 4:10-19

3. Community

A safe place to be vulnerable. Real, raw, authentic, iron-sharpens-iron community. We care for each other and help each other grow while simply doing life together. We need to be connected to grow. Colossians 3

4. Honor

Placing a high value on the gifts, talents and personalities the Lord has given those around us. Believing and calling out the best in someone even if they don’t believe it themselves. Celebrating diversity. Choosing love. Romans 12:1-18

5. Holy Spirit

Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. He set us free and He empowers us to live a Kingdom lifestyle. We freely receive a new nature and freely give our life. 2 Corinthians 3:7-18

6. Hearing God’s Voice

He is personal and wants to speak with us. Walking in obedience and allowing His voice to guide us. John 10:14-16, John 10:27-28, Psalm 32:8-9, Hebrews 4:12-13, Luke 11:28

7. Prayer

Fuel for the fire. Any relationship needs interaction. Engage with Him and allow Him to mold our hearts. As He gives us His heart we burn in intercession for His Kingdom. Genesis 1:26-28, James 5:13-18, Matthew 6:7, Matthew 7:7-11, Philippians 4:6

8. Missions

There are many who have not heard the Gospel or are in desperate need of Him. From our neighbors to the far corners of the earth. We can make a difference. Romans 10:13-18, Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:18-20, Luke 10:1-2

9. Stewardship Bread or Seed?

Some is provision for now and some is to sow. Living open handed and being willing to invest in the Kingdom. A lifestyle of blessing others. 1 Timothy 6:17-19, Luke 16:10-13, Mark 12:41-44, Matthew 6:1-4, Matthew 13:22

10. Rest

Shabbat Shalom. Our identity should not be in what we do. What matters is not the accomplishments you achieve; what matters it the person you become. Hebrews 4:1-16

11. Endurance

Life is a culmination of seasons. As we live and learn in each one it opens the door for the next. He is faithful and will see us through. Hebrews 12:1-8, Philippians 4:11-13, James 1:2-4

12. One Soul

He has saved ours. Therefore it is a privilege to give our life to serving others. One soul is worth it. John 3:16-17, Matthew 16:24-27, Luke 15:1-7
