“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  – Jesus

Kids Ministry

We love our kids and consider it a privilege to invest in the next generation! The mission of our Kids Ministry is to partner with parents to help children know & grow in Christ. Our goal is for children to have a genuine relationship with the Lord, build their lives on Him, make friends, and love being at church! We offer classes for toddlers through 3rd grade. All of our kids team members have current background checks and clearances.

It is clear that Jesus valued and esteemed children in his ministry and our goal is to follow his example. However, we know that it can be daunting to bring your children with you when you are visiting a new place! We hope to provide some details about what is available for children at our services and how we are working to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere for kids!

What to expect

When you come in the door, we invite you to make your way to the Connections Hub where you can check in for kids ministry. One of our friendly Check In team members will be there to assist you. Each child will receive a stick on label with their name, your phone number, and a code printed on it. You will receive a label with the same code printed on it. This code will need to presented when you pick up your child after the service. We do this to ensure that only you or someone you approve of is picking up your child after the service. The phone number on the child’s label ensures that our kids team can contact you during the service if need be.

After you’re checked in, you can make your way into the sanctuary for worship. At this point your children will stay with you as we welcome children of all ages to join us in the sanctuary during the worship time.

After worship, we’ll have announcements and then release children 3rd grade and under to kids ministry. We ask that you accompany your child until they are settled in at the kids ministry area in the church basement. Children older than 3rd grade are invited to remain with the adults in the sanctuary for the rest of the service.

There is also a nursing mother’s room located just next to the sanctuary entrance that can be accessed at any time during the service.

We also provide a family room as a space where you can be with your kids if need be. The family room has a livestream of the service and toys for the kids to play with. We ask that parents remain with their children in the family room at all times.

Guiding Principles for Kid’s Ministry

  • Being with Jesus

We believe that when Jesus said “let the little children come to unto me and forbid them not” he was giving an invitation for children of every age to experience His Presence and relationship with Him. We minister to our kids when we carry a deep conviction that they are known and loved by God!

  • Being safe and loved

We believe that if a child feels safe and loved they will intuitively know God as a Father and Friend. We minister to our kids when we seek to meet them at their level and help them feel noticed and nurtured through our words and actions!

  • Being creative

We believe that every child is made in the image of God and has a creative spark inside them, just waiting to be kindled into a flame. We minister to our kids when we give them creative outlets that affirm their potential and exercise their giftings!
